United among themselves and their members by brotherly love, the various communities of the Somascan Fathers Congregation maintain special bonds of love with those who participate in their life in various ways hence, the group of the “Somascan Fathers Collaborators.”
The Somascan Fathers Collaborators Movement is a group made up of Lay people, both men and women, who want to deepen their knowledge in the spirituality and charisma of Saint Jerome Emiliani and to carry on his apostolate in our contemporary time. Their interest is to be the Saint Jerome of our time.
The Somascan Collaborators follow the way of Christ Crucified following the example of Saint Jerome Emiliani by providing profitable aid to the Congregation in educating and making it easier and safer for the young, poor orphans of Christ to be integrated in the family and in the society.
They help in the process of rehabilitation of abandoned youths, drug addicts, prostitutes and even training of the Somascan religious.
The words of Christ in the gospel of Saint Matthew “the harvest is rich but the laborers are few” is still true today and even calls for more urgent response today more than ever. Be a Somacan Collaborator today. Be part of us and join us change the world in the way we can in caring for the orphans, abandoned youths and the rejected in our society today.
