|HYMN
O mother of the savior,
You gave Jesus to mankind
receive the cordial homage
of your beloved children.
Your womb was a pure dwelling
of God’s offspring made human.
You are to us, sweet Mary,
a source of hope and gladness.
A tender-hearted mother,
you lead us to the Master,
who gives us his commandment
of loving one another.
The poor and afflicted
in you find peace and solace;
the orphaned and downtrodden
through you are given freedom.
From you the Church continues
to draw light, hope and courage
to witness for Christ’s message
of freedom to all nations.
Praised be the Almighty Father,
the Son and Holy Spirit,
one God who lives in glory
For all eternal ages.
2. Hail most holy Virgin Mary,
in you, meek and lowly servant
God almighty has worked wonders:
he has made you the Lord’s Mother.
When the Word Divine was welcomed
in your heart and became human,
at long last mankind was given
its Redeemer and Good Shepherd.
From the cross where he was dying
for the world’s salvation, Jesus
called you second Eve and Mother
of the newly reborn people.
Full of grace since the first moment,
you pour grace upon your children,
from above for them invoking
pardon, comfort, peace and gladness.
Upon orphans and all needy
you implore the Father’s mercy
to reveal the saving power
that exalts the poor in spirit.
Tender Mother of the orphan
and support of the abandoned,
to us sinners you are, Mary
source of hope and consolation.
Glory be to God the Father
and to Jesus Christ Redeemer
in communion with the Spirit,
for all never-ending ages. Amen.

Sojourners in this vale of tears,

Dulcis Virgo Maria.

7. Daily, Daily, Sing to Mary
Verse 1
Daily, daily sing to Mary,
Sing, my soul, her praises due.
All her feasts, her actions worship
With the heart’s devotion true.
Lost in wond’ring contemplation,
Be her Majesty confess’d.
Call her Mother, call her Virgin,
Happy Mother, Virgin blest.
Verse 2
She is mighty to deliver.
Call her, trust her lovingly.
When the tempest rages round thee,
She will calm the troubled sea.
Gifts of heaven she has given,
Noble Lady, to our race.
She, the Queen, who decks her subjects
With the light of God’s own grace.
Verse 3
Sing, my tongue, the Virgin’s trophies
Who for us her Maker bore.
For the curse of old inflicted,
Peace and blessing to restore.
Sing in songs of peace unending,
Sing the world’s majestic Queen.
Weary not nor faint in telling.
All the gifts she gives to men.
8. TO MARY MOTHER OF ORPHANS
Mary, Mother of Orphans,
Your love so sweet and tender
Is our mighty defender
All along our life on earth.
To you, our loving Mother,
We, your most needy children,
This glad song of thanksgiving
Want to raise with all our heart.
With Saint Jerome our Patron,
We pray to be forever
With You one day in Heaven
Singing Alleluia.
9. ORPHANIS PATREM (In English)
With joyful voices let us sing an anthem
To the man chosen by the sovereign Mercy
To be the Servant of the Poor and loving
Father of Orphans.
Thrown in a dungeon, bound with heavy shackles,
From death most cruel was Jerome delivered
By the Blest Virgin, and through hostile armies
Was led to freedom
Having thus triumphed over death and evil
He spurned all honors, gave away all riches,
Turned into father, he gave love and shelter
To orphan children.
Though life was fading, by no means were lessened
His works of mercy: to select companions,
Taught by example, was handed the precious
Legacy of love
Many a wonder did he make while living,
Now in the glory all the more his power
Works for the faithful who drink from his fountain
Or pray for healing.
May all tongues praise you, One God in Three Persons:
Those who seek pardon for their sins may find it
As in your presence Saint Jerome Miani
Stand for them pleading.
Amen.
